Beekeepers
Swahili Honey’s beekeepers, numbering over 1800, are the backbone of our business. They take great care in maintaining the beehives and managing the colonies to ensure that we can provide the highest quality bee products. Their hard work and dedication are invaluable to our success.

Processing Facility
Swahili Honey’s state-of-the-art processing facility is equipped with all the necessary machinery to process honey and beeswax to international standards. With a capacity of handling up to 1500 tons annually, we are able to keep up with the high demand for our products, both locally and internationally. We take quality control very seriously and have implemented procedures to ensure consistency in the quality of our products.

Filling and Bottling Section
Swahili Honey’s processing facility is fitted with an automatic filling line that has a daily output capacity of 1.5 tons. This allows us to efficiently fill jars of different sizes and meet the high demand for our products.

Our Honey

FOREST HONEY (EUCALYPTUS)

Forest honey is harvested from the area which is highly dominated by the flora of the Eucalyptus trees, found in Southern Tanzania. It is the most unique and popular honey variety. Its smooth and delicate taste makes it a particular favorite with children too. Forest Honey rarely crystallizes and maintains its runny form indefinitely.

It is smooth and delicate to taste, light amber in colour, with a generous aroma, a Fantastic alternative to refined sugar, soothes coughs and colds.

MIOMBO HONEY

Miombo Honey is harvested from the flora of the Miombo woodlands tree (also known as Brachystegia genera), found mostly in the Western regions of Tanzania. It is a special honey with a leather aroma, an aged maple syrup taste, and a smoky finish.

It is usually light in colour when harvested during the wet seasons and dark in colour when harvested in the dry season.
